Smithfield, West Virginia

Smithfield, West Virginia (WV), a community in Wetzel County, was incorporated in 1904 and named for Henry Smith, who established a store during the Wetzel County oil boom. Smithfield is situated on the South Fork of Fishing Creek above the mouth of Price Run.
