Whitewater Rafting in West Virginia
West Virginia whitewater rafting trips afford almost anyone the opportunity to experience the thrill of an extreme adventure vacation on a raging river (though not all trips or whitewater rivers are extreme). More than a dozen commercial outfitters are licensed to guide trips on West Virginia whitewater.
Sections of six rivers in West Virginia routinely support whitewater rafting excursions. Other rivers and streams in West Virginia may support whitewater conditions that area appropriate for kayaking or may serve as alternate whitewater runs when conditions permit.
