    Glade Springs resort suspends operations until April 20

    With the exception of one of its golf courses, , at Daniels, West Virginia, will suspend operations through April 20 in response to the coronavirus outbreak in the U.S., according to a press release issued by resort officials.

    "Acting in the best interests of our guests and associates, the Resort at Glade Springs is following the advice of health and government officials and will temporarily suspend all operations effective Friday, March 20th, 2020," the release stated.

    "The resort will resume operations on Monday, April 20th, 2020. The only exception to this will be the Cobb golf course. We will be monitoring the situation continually and will comply with all recommendations made by WHO or the CDC."

    The 4,100-acre property in southern West Virginia includes a state-of-the-art conference center, two championship 18-hole golf courses, and 200 lodging rooms for guests.

    "The health and safety of our guests and associates is our first priority and this difficult decision has been made with that in mind. We want to thank our valued guests and patrons whose continued loyalty means so much to us. We cannot wait to welcome them all back to our resort in the near future."

    The resort specializes in providing golf, skiing, and fly-fishing vacations and boasts an indoor leisure center, a full-service spa and salon, and miles of hiking and biking trails.
