    A relic of Kanawha settlements

Farmstead near Duncan, WV, Jackson County, Mid-Ohio Valley Region

The "mansion house" at Tu-Endie-Wei State Park, at Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in Mason County, was erected in 1796 by Walter Newman as a tavern and may be the oldest hewn-log building in the Kanawha Valley. The building was first located nearer Winfield, West Virginia.
