Eight waterfalls to visit this summer in West Virginia

    No. 2: Elakala Falls

Elakala Falls at Blackwater Falls State Park

"While you're in the neighborhood of Blackwater Falls, be sure to stop at the Blackwater Lodge and take a short hike to Elakala Falls, the largest of several cataracts on Shay Run, a small tributary of the upper Blackwater River. Many smaller trails branch off the main trail, providing hikers the opportunity to further explore the run and the enormous rocks through which it descends."
