    Culinary events hosted at Stonewall Resort through March

    Early spring is sure to be great for foodies in north-central West Virginia, where Stonewall Resort is set to host three culinary events in addition to weekly themed dinner options.

    Late February and March is an ideal time to escape the end-of-winter humdrum, says Andre’ D’Amour, general manager at the luxury resort located in Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park, near Weston, West Virginia.

    “For those interested in a fun evening out, a mid-week break from the kitchen, or a relaxing meal lakeside, Stonewall Resort has multiple options between now and the end of March,” D’Amour says.

    Leap-Beer Celebration—February 28-29

    1970s Murder Mystery Dinner—March 7

    Join the Vintage Theatre Company for a three-course dinner and hilarious murder-mystery event that incorporates all the humorous stereotypes and innuendo of the '70s. The weekend package includes overnight accommodations for two, a special three-course chef-curated dinner, and two drink tickets per person. The cost is $249 per couple.     Stonewall's culinary team has developed an elegant wine-pairing dinner featuring a first course of warm winter green salad with swiss chard, shaved brussels sprouts, crispy parsnips, goat cheese, bacon, and champagne vinaigrette and paired with Kono Sauvignon Blanc. The second course features a smoked New York Strip Loin with roasted garlic whipped potatoes and accompaniments paired with Raymond R Collection Cabernet Sauvignon. The dessert feature is a warm apple strudel with ginger-spiced whipped cream paired with Ruby Donn Moscato D’Asti. The package, which includes the dinner and overnight accommodations, is $279 per couple.

    Shipwrecked Taco-Tuesday Party—Tuesdays through the end of March

    Enjoy unlimited tacos, chips, salsa, dessert, and two drinks (margaritas, beer, or wine) each Tuesday in February and March from 6-8 p.m. for $35 per person.

    Italian Dinner Buffet—Wednesdays through March 25
