Explore the Art Gallery of South Australia
If you love art, there is plenty to admire at the Art Gallery of South Australia. The gallery is located in North Terrace, close to many other cultural institutions. It was first opened, in a different building, in 1881. The gallery is home to around 47,000 works of art, from Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. It has also hosted events associated with Tarnanthi (the Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art) since 2015.
Get some exercise at Waterfall Gully
Anyone who likes exercise should visit Waterfall Gully, which is home to a famously strenuous walking trail. The Mount Lofty Summit trail starts in the Waterfall Gully car park and provides spectacular views as it climbs. If you do not like the idea of a strenuous walk, you can simply admire the waterfall, which can be accessed from Waterfall Gully Road, five miles east of Adelaide. It's worth mentioning that the car park is often very busy on weekends.
Tour the National Wine Centre of Australia
The National Wine Centre of Australia is an excellent place to learn about winemaking. There is a guided tour that takes place each day which is free of charge. Other activities that take place at the center, such as wine tasting, are subject to a charge.
