Army Camp Camping Area

Eleven public vehicle-access campsites are located in a partly shaded open field adjacent to the Army Camp day-use area. The campground is the nearest to the community of Prince, WV, and is one of three NPS riverside campgrounds in the area. The site takes its name from an US Army training facility for river crossings that operated here in the mid-1900s. The community of Terry, WV, stands across the river. The nearest markets and service stations are located approximately 10 miles from the campground off WV-41 near Beckley or WV-61 at Mount Hope, WV.
