Cedar Creek meanders through the hills of central West Virginia, wandering through a gentle valley at Cedar Creek State Park. Its grassy vale and surrounding the woodlands provide the ideal setting for hiking, fishing, camping, and picnicking. An outdoor swimming pool, miniature golf course, paddle-boating pond, and game courts have been established in the central park, while hiking trails and tent and RV camping areas climb into the surrounding woodlands. A restored log cabin and one-room school house are open to visitors year-round, and a teacher's memorial has been dedicated near the school house.
