Journey by railcar under the City of Beckley and into an authentic coal mine that interprets the history of early mining in central Appalachia. Several museums and renovated historical structures complement to tour. Tour rates are $20 per person age 13 and older, $12 per children ages four to twelve years old and $15 per adult age 55 and older. Group rates are available. Tours inside the mine are guided daily from April 1 through November 1 from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
