So-named for the Teays Valley, in which it is located, Teays Valley, West Virginia (WV), is a community in southern Putnam County. The riverless Teays Valley was discovered from a geologic formation located nearby at Teays, West Virginia, in the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad.
