Built in 1830, the home of Colonel George W. Imboden has been preserved as a house museum that helps depict the history of the town of Ansted, W.Va., and of life along the old Virginian turnpike that became today's U.S. 60. The complex is open June through August, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday (though its schedule is subject to change). Admission rates are $6 per adult, $3 per child age six to 11, and admission is free for children six years old and younger.
