Designated ATV trails and trail systems are being developed and expanded across West Virginia. More than 600 miles of public trail for ATV touring have been developed in the system of Hatfield-McCoy Trails in southern West Virginia. Another 100 miles of trail have been developed by outfitters on private trail systems. Thousands of miles of unofficial ATV and off-road vehicle trails travel throughout the mountains.
