Even at the peak of summer, visitors at Snowshoe Mountain may find it handy to wear a sweater or jacket.

Capping one of the highest peaks in the Allegheny Mountains, the resort village at Snowshoe Mountain enjoys some of the most reliably wintry conditions south of New England.  Its situation at the top of 57 slopes, rather than at their bases, ensures incredible après-ski sunsets.
