Debarr wins whitewater trip through WVExplorer

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Lisa Debarr, of Charleston, originally of Buckhannon, has won a guided whitewater rafting trip for two on the New River with ACE Adventure Resort, according to David Sibray, editor and publisher of West Virginia Explorer.

As per the terms of the drawing, Debarr entered by becoming a member of the West Virginia Explorer at WVExplorer.com and recommending that corrections be made to one of the more than 350 pages that the site publishes for cities and towns in West Virginia.

"Ms. Debarr actually provided more corrections than were necessary, advancing our effort to promote travel in West Virginia," Sibray said. "In one case she pointed out that the article on Hamlin neglected to mention that Chuck Yeager hales from that fine town."

Sibray said further promotions will be offered through the online guide to West Virginia in the near future and recommends that users interested in similar travel packages join the sites's profile sites at and .

"I'd also like to thank for its continued support for West Virginia Explorer and its efforts to promote the Mountain State.
