The Canyon Rim Trail provides sweeping views of the gorge and is a favorite for photographers and experienced hikers.
Park officials encourage visitors to prepare for changing weather conditions by bringing proper footwear and water, noting that the trails offer not only recreation but also an opportunity to observe native wildlife and the diverse plant life that defines southern West Virginia’s natural heritage.
