Lubeck, West Virginia (WV), is a community in rural Wood County south and east of the Ohio River. The town is a bedroom community of Parkersburg and Marietta. Though first named Watertown, postmaster Theodore Frederick Henry Slevogt in 1856 changed the name to Lubeck after his hometown in Germany.
