The Staats Mill Covered Bridge near Ripley, West Virginia, in Jackson County, spans a pond at Cedar Lakes State Conference Center. The bridge is a 97-foot-long "long truss" built by Henry Hartley in 1888 over Mill Creek near Statts Mills, approximately eight miles southeast of its present location. It was moved in 1982 to rescue it from construction of a flood-prevention lake. The bridge is one of two covered bridges in Jackson County; the other is the Sarvis Fork Covered Bridge.
