Ellenboro, West Virginia (WV), a community in Ritchie County, was incorporated in 1903 and named in honor of Ellen Mariah Williamson, its first postmistress and the daughter of John Williamson, an early settler. Ellenboro was earlier known as Shumely. The US-50 expressway and the North Bend Rail Trail travel through Ellenboro.
