Triadelphia, West Virginia (WV), a community in Ohio County, was chartered in 1829 and likely refers, in Greek, to the three sons of Colonel Josias Thompson, who donated the land upon which the town was platted. Triadelphia today may be best known for its proximity to The Highlands, a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex that includes a Cabela's retail center.
