The Barrackville Covered Bridge at Barrackville, West Virginia (WV), in Marion County, spans Buffalo Creek near its mouth at the Monongahela River. The bridge is the second-oldest covered bridge in West Virginia. It was restored in 1999. Pedestrians are encouraged to explore the bridge though motorized traffic on Pike Street is now routed upstream of the structure. The bridge was built in 1853 by Lemuel & Eli Chenoweth, who built many covered bridges in the region.
