Elk Garden, West Virginia (WV), a community in Mineral County, was incorporated in 1890 and so-named for a salty spring that attracted elk to the region. The town is located on a tableland above the North Branch of the Potomac River. Elk Garden is situated south of Jennings Randolph Lake and the whitewater rafting segment of the North Branch.
