Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park will begin accommodating growing number of guests who drive electric vehicles this month, opening a series of charging stations at its resort lodge near Weston in north-central West Virginia.
Three stations will be installed at parking spaces in the resort’s circle drive -- two dedicated to Tesla vehicles and a third to other brands, according to Mike Hager, the resort's general manager.
"Our location near Interstate 79 provides guests a perfect location to stop and refuel while taking time to enjoy our natural lakeside setting and amenities," Hager said.
State parks at Pipestem, Twin Falls, Hawks Nest, Cacapon, Tygart Lake, and Blackwater Falls have also installed stations.
Hager said electric-vehicle owners should check their EV-station location apps to learn when the Stonewall Resort charging docks become active
"The popularity and versatility of electric vehicles continue to grow and we’re pleased to offer this service to our guests," he said.
