The Catawba Mound on the Monongahela River at Catawba, West Virginia, in Marion County, rises above the mouth of Little Creek. Covered in large trees, the mound may be one of the largest prehistoric burial mounds in West Virginia.
Little has been confirmed or reported about the mound, identified by Glenn D. Lough in his 1969 book "Now and Long Ago: A History of the Marion County Area."
