Star City, West Virginia (WV), a community on the Monongahela River in Monongalia County, was incorporated in 1907 and named by Louis F. Kaufield, owner of the Star Glass Company. The town was largely settled by glass workers employed at Star Glass and the Seneca Glass Company.
