Isolated from radio interference by the Allegheny Mountains, the world’s largest moveable radio telescope rises above the pastures at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Green Bank. The observatory and its radio dishes are featured on tours of the observatory. Green Bank is a drive of 30 minutes east of Snowshoe Mountain.
