W.Va. outfitter celebrates summer with Memorial Day rafting package

The River Expeditions basecamp includes a lodge and conference center with an outdoor pool, gift shop, and a saloon as well as cabins, tent campsites, RV campsites, hiking trails, a zipline, a paintball course, and a disc-golf course.

In addition to its Memorial Day packages, River Expeditions also offers specials and events on the New and Gauley rivers throughout the season, including half-price trips Tuesday through Thursday, Johnson said.

Additionally, children always raft for half price on the family-friendly upper New River float trip, she said.
