Nichols Knob in southern Roane County north of Clio, West Virginia, is a rocky prominence on Vineyard Ridge comprised of several house-sized boulders. The knob rises to 1,230 feet above sea level and is designated "Vineyard" by surveyors.
The rocks are of the Uniontown Sandstone, named for their outcrop at Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and also outcrop as knobs nearby at Jackson Rocks and Starcher Rocks.
The located along Vineyard Ridge Road, the Nichols Knob rocks are on private property and are not publicly accessible.
