The 486-acre Castlemans Run Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA) protects a landscape of brush and open fields and a hardwood forest on moderately steep slopes. Principal game taken in the management area includes deer, grouse, squirrel, turkey, and raccoon. Castlemans Run Lake, at 22 acres, accommodates fishing for warm water species and is stocked with trout from February through May. Camping is prohibited in the management area, though toilet facilities are provided. The lake is a popular retreat and recreation spot for students who are enrolled at nearby Bethany College.

Directions: Castelmans Run Lake Wildlife Management Area is located in southern Brooke County and northern Ohio County southwest of . To reach the management area from Bethany, follow WV-67 east and turn right onto Castlemans Run Road.

Castlemans Run Lake WMA is managed by the W.Va. Division of Natural Resources. It was formerly known as the Castlemans Run Public Hunting & Fishing Area.
