Arthurdale, West Virginia (WV), is located in Preston County on the headwaters of Deckers Creek near Reedsville, West Virginia. It became the site of the first federal Homestead project and first New Deal Community in the U.S. and was a model for projects in other areas of the country. The rural community is now part of the Arthurdale National Historic District, and visitors are invited to tour its landmarks. A museum is located at the center of the town.

Location

Arthurdale is located two miles south of Reedsville on WV-92 and 15 miles west of the county seat at Kingwood, West Virginia.
